Yea... I did it again! I finished a blog then to find out I did it using the wrong set of questions! :O Oh well, here is my reflection! :D
For this task, we had to create a poster (case study) about Australia as part of a British Empire. We had to see how the British Empire influenced Australia (both good and bad). We could only use three sheets and three websites OR books to support our research. After that we had to summarise the information and put it on the poster.
Okay, the key focus of this learning opportunity is to learn about the British Empire and how it affected a specific country, with positive and negative impacts.
We worked o-kay as a group, as we each assigned each other parts to do. Some of us didn't finish the work we were assigned and we had to finish the other person's work. Some of us did more than the other. All in all, we worked not bad as a team. We did not achieve all of them, but achieved most of them. We didn't write an extended piece of writing to describe and explain our ideas.
To develop our teamwork skills, we should make sure that everyone is doing the work that they are assigned to to ensure the end product is finished. We should also make sure that everyone is working their hardest to make sure the end product is as best as it could be. I learnt a lot of things from this topic, about how the British Empire is beneficial as well as disadvantageous to both themselves and the colony. I also learnt that every person has his/her limits. By knowing this, I can't set myself or other people too many things to do.
We could have added in our own opinions and ideas to the case study (PEE on it) instead of just putting information on it. But all in all, I think we did a pretty good job. There were ways we could improve, but hey, learning from your mistakes is progressing! :D
